Hi all, I am iLive2eat and I am a foodie. This blog is all about my love for all things food, covering Kamloops stories as well as serving as a conversational site where people come to talk about anything and everything about food!!
I hope to keep my words to a minimum and let the photos do most of the blogging. And if I do review a restaurant, these reviews are reflect my own opinion and is based on what I like and dislike. No disrespect is intended.

We were thrilled when Red Robin opened up a restaurant in Kamloops. My family loves this restaurant and who am I to argue? Great for families, but you cannot leave without ingesting a lot of calories. You will get a balloon though. We also happen to really enjoy their gourmet burgers and I usually order the Royal Red Robin Burger -the aristocrat of all burgers because it is crowned with a fresh fried egg. Yummm. But because this was review night, we decided to review two burgers that we have never tried before.
Let’s start with the Towering Onion Rings appetizer - this is where all the big onions go to get fried. It stands about a foot tall and six inches diameter at the base and it comes with two dipping sauces positioned at the base of the shaft holding the rings. The onion rings were battered perfectly and were served piping hot, crispy, and yummy.
The Prime Chophouse Burger is back for a limited time and features a fresh, never frozen, fire-grilled burger patty served on an onion bun with made-from-scratch Country Dijon spread and layered with fresh horseradish-sautéed mushrooms, gourmet steak sauce, melted Provolone cheese and piled high with hand-battered crispy onion straws. The feature Prime Chophouse Burger didn’t look anything close to the advertised photo but when it came to taste, it was delicious. We especially liked the flavour that the horseradish-sauteed mushrooms brought to this burger. But we think it is missing a crunch factor -may I be bold to suggest adding a few slices of cucumber to this burger?
The Banzai Burger hit the spot - it is marinated in teriyaki & topped with grilled pineapple, Cheddar cheese, crisp lettuce, tomatoes and mayo. I think I may have found a new favorite burger at Red Robin!! Eating this burger was a messy endeavor but that’s why they give you an ample amount of paper napkins to use. All burgers come with “bottomless steak fries” but between the two of us, our two orders were more than enough.
My oldest daughter loves this Red Robin Ad:
RED ROBIN!!! Big thumbs up from us and thumbs up to your food, your servers and your ads!!!!!! Yummm™
