The Noble Pig Brewhouse

Kamloops, BC

Everyone I know talks about the Noble Pig Brewhouse and their Deep Fried Pickles so finally, we went there for lunch to check it out for ourselves.  We asked a pickle craving pregnant friend of ours to accompany us so she can provide us her expert review on this snack food found commonly in the American South.    . . after all, who’s a better pickle expert?

I have to admit, I walked into the Noble Pig thinking that I was not going to like this pickle dish and that it would have to be very good for me to give it a good review.  Well people… I was wrong!!  The Deep Fried Pickles were fantastic.  The batter was crispy and the pickles inside was very hot and crunchy.   It’s honestly like nothing I’ve tasted before. I dipped them into the (very) Spicy Ranch Dill Dipping Sauce and it set my mouth on fire but I was very happy to quench it with a pint of their Brewhouse Honey Pale Ale.   As for our resident expert at the table, she devoured a basket full of Deep fried Pickles all by herself.  She gave this two thumbs up!!

We had other things to eat too but this little piggy went to the market to get some deep fried pickles and everything else were mere support actors.  But I will mention that the Red Coconut Curry Chowder contained copious amounts of clams and halibut pieces and it was delicious.

We will return to the Noble Pig for more Deep Fried Pickles and to sample their other menu items.   I recommend this place as one of the Best Places to eat and drink in Kamloops.
