The Stock Pot Cafe

Kamloops, BC

One of the things I love most about seeking out new places in Kamloops to eat is the possibility that I might stumble upon a hidden gem at any given moment.  Our friend Dale has been recommending this place forever it seems and finally today, we decided to go for lunch at The Stock Pot Cafe.

This small and simple restaurant specializes in home made sandwiches, soup and salads. Extremely affordable yet does not compromise on taste nor service.

To begin with, yes, décor is pretty low-key and hokey, but… the interior is still quite cozy and welcoming.  The Stock Pot Cafe is located in the Southgate business area, not exactly a part of Kamloops that you would expect to go for food.  Putting décor, ambiance, and the location aside… The Stock Pot Cafe will not disappoint you when it comes to the food.

Restaurant Highlights:

  • Lunch Salad Bar, Monday to Friday.
  • Friday Lunch Buffet $11.95 per person.
  • Fresh Frozen Food to Take-Home. $11.95 Large $5.75 Small Lasagna, Cabbage Rolls, Turkey Pie
  • A Bag of Chilli for Two.  $7
  • $3.49 Take-home Soups
  • 16 different types of Egg Benedict.
