Burger King

Kamloops, BC

Long live the King in Kamloops!  I’m talking about Burger King. Apparently, I am not the only person in Kamloops happy to see a Burger King open for business again in Kamloops.  The new Burger King franchise in Valleyview is always packed to capacity both inside and outside the restaurant (their rather small parking lot is full most of the time).

We went there for breakfast today and surprisingly the restaurant was empty.  But it was perfect for me to take some photos without people or cars being in my way.  Since the new  Kamloops Burger King was built from scratch, it followed the layout outlined by Burger King’s bold 20/20 global restaurant design.  Compared to the outdated interior of our former Kamloops Burger King location in Aberdeen, this new restaurant’s look is more futuristic and contemporary.  The 20/20 restaurant design efforts are comprehensive both externally and internally, with a contemporary theme balanced by various elements evoking an industrial look. Inside, details include corrugated metal, exposed brick, hardwood-like floors, modern hanging lamps, a large flat-screen television and earthy colors, such as deep red and beige.

As for their food, we love their Whopper (of course) and their Chicken Sandwich.  I don’t recall ever having breakfast at a Burger King before and today’s meal will have us coming back for more.    Welcome back to Kamloops, Burger King!!
